1. What We Collect

When you create a Crewsmith account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (managed by Supabase Auth). When you use the platform, we store your crew configurations, task history, and usage metrics.

2. API Keys (BYOK)

Crewsmith operates on a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model. Your API keys are encrypted at rest in our database and are only decrypted server-side at the moment of task execution. We never log, share, or use your API keys for any purpose other than executing your requested tasks. Keys are transmitted over TLS and never stored in plaintext.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the Crewsmith service
  • To track usage for billing and rate limiting
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets)
  • To debug issues when you contact support

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (hosting, authentication).

4. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase — Authentication and database hosting
  • Vercel — Application hosting and CDN
  • AI Providers — Your tasks are sent to the AI provider associated with your API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). Their privacy policies govern how they handle that data.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Task history is retained for 90 days by default. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard settings.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that track you across sites.

7. Your Rights

You can export your data, delete your account, or request information about what we store by emailing matt@crewsmith.ai.

8. Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
